Itential Automation Platform (IAP) is a multi-tier software platform focused on improving network operations. It consumes APIs of southbound systems and presents these capabilities to our application layer to be combined in new ways.

The strength of IAP lies in its ability to provide unified workflow and management capabilities across multiple southbound systems and networks. IAP provides an extensible platform for management of multi-vendor/multi-technology environments.

Examples of applications built on IAP are shown in the following table.

Application	Description
Configuration Manager	Manage network devices and configurations. Including, Golden Configuration tree management, compliance reporting, and remediation.
Service Management	Focusing on the life cycle of services, this solution addresses the complexity of managing services that extend across a plethora of devices.
Golden Services	While Service Management performs create, read, update, and delete (CRUD) operations on service instances, Golden Services manages the migration of services across versions.
